Helen is a friendly, patient and experienced DVSA Approved Driving Instructor. She is a Grade 'A' instructor and gives professional, relaxed and consistent lessons. Helen also offers weekend lessons to those who require it.
All ages and abilities are catered for from complete novices getting behind the wheel for the first time to those who have already passed their test but want to improve on their skills and confidence.
In addition to driving lessons, my services also include motorway and refresher lessons.
All lessons are on a one-to-one basis and I am a calm and reliable instructor and will teach you the skills required to become a confident and competent driver.

I can’t recommended Helen enough. I came to her as a late later at 26 with no driving experience and a lot of anxiety about starting.
It was important to me that I would find someone patient and sensitive to teach me as I have health problems that have prevented me from learning to drive.
Helen was very empathetic to my situation and I immediately felt supported within our first lesson.
She offered me as many lessons as I needed and made sure I felt comfortable with how I was learning. I lacked confidence but she reassured me constantly that I could do it and that I was doing well.
I started lessons with Helen in June 2025 and passed my test first time in February 2026, something I never thought I’d be able to achieve let alone in that amount of time.
I am so so grateful for Helen as she’s changed my life and I can’t thank her enough for that!

I came to Helen when my previous teacher knocked my confidence. From day one she made me feel so comfortable and she was incredibly patient with me. Through the many lessons i had with her, we got to know each other and would have conversations whilst driving, it got to the point where the lessons flew by and I looked forward to every single one. She made driving on the road a past fear and with passing first time, I drive confidently on my own. She really does prepare you for your test prioritising you the day before and day of your test so you are 100% ready and confident. The way she teaches had me feel so confident in myself that I was excited for my test day instead of feeling worried. She is reliable, patient and such a calming person to be with and learn from.

I came to Helen a nervous wreck when it came to driving and I had little to no confidence behind the wheel.
She was amazing in helping me find the confidence to keep driving. She simplified the maneuvers and always explained everything so clearly and was always happy to go over something again and takes your opinion into account when there is something specific that needs to be done. She is always there to go above and beyond when needed and I wouldn't have passed my test without her.

Helen is an amazing instructor! I struggled a lot within different areas of driving and she was always there to calm me down if I got overwhelmed, and helped extra me in areas where I struggled. Her schedule was very flexible, and she kept a space in her diary for me when I was back from uni to continue my lessons. I struggled a lot with confidence within driving and Helen was nothing but supportive along my journey. First starting lessons, I was always nervous but I soon began to enjoy the lessons, as we had a laugh. She knew I would sometimes get too in my head when driving and would always have a conversation ready to distract me, but keep me focused. Helen is an absolutely amazing driving instructor, i love her! Not only did she teach my daughter who passed, but also me too! I am a very nervous driver who suffers with anxiety, thanks to Helen i felt at ease. Helen is so friendly and i actually really missed our lessons and seeing Helen when i did pass. Helen does not waste unnecessary time and will go at the speed you are comfortable with if need be. I even booked Helen after my test to help with motorway driving. If anyone asks about lessons or talks about wanting to drive....i always recommend Helen, she's an absolute star and a really lovely person, you definitely won't be disappointed.

I thought Helen was a great driving instructor and a natural teacher. I am not the easiest person to teach and Helen worked with me and listened carefully when I explained how best to get through to me.
I came to Helen with very low expectations of passing my test, having recently had a big confidence dip but in very short order she had my driving in a much better place and built me up – passed first time and I genuinely believe I owe that to Helen. Whilst getting me ready to focus on my test we also found time to put extra work into smooth, comfortable driving as I drive someone with back/hip troubles – I was very impressed and grateful that Helen could not only help me through my test but also tweak my driving education to my personal needs.
