I couldnt have asked for a better instructor, Steve helped me to feel at ease when I first started- helping me build confidence on the road, ready for my test. Steve is massively patient at all times, especially when learning a new skill. I'd really recommend Steve!

Steve is Basingstoke’s finest driving instructor.
Very encouraging and calm, his background in the police means he’s far more amused than fazed when I stalled at a busy junction or reversed into the bush.
He is exactly the man you want in the passenger seat when everything’s bound to go slightly wrong while learning.
He was also flexible enough to fit in an extra lesson the day before my test so I could feel confident, especially when I was still busy recovering and coughing my lungs out.
All in all above are exactly why I cancelled my previous instructor’s subscription in a heartbeat after my first lesson with steve
Steve is an amazing driving instructor. He teaches in such a clever way that made me understand and enjoy driving so much more. He is incredibly patient and caring and I feel very lucky to have had him as an instructor.
Steve is a phenomenal instructor - from the very start he has been supportive, encouraging and extremely knowledgable as well as being an excellent teacher. I passed my practical test first try with 0 minors, and this was due to his amazing tuition style.
He is also very accommodating - going out of his way to try and fit his lessons with your schedule.
Also, Steve is very personable and adapts conversation to your level of comfort. I have had many memorable moments while out on the road with him, with lots of laughs and interesting conversations while he also recognised times where I needed to concentrate more, and adjusted naturally.
I whole heartedly recommend him to any learner!

Well what can I say about Steve which hasn’t already been said - nothing! He is a fantastic instructor. My son always came back from lessons feeling that he had learnt something every single time. Steve’s approach is calm and methodical, doing mock tests and knowing the areas needing improvement. Steve has been a fantastic teacher and i have enjoyed every single lesson and i passed my test first time!! I had the pleasure to drive with Steve and i couldn’t recommend him enough! He helped me to pass first time with zero faults. He would always push me hard every lesson, whether that be learning new roads or techniques. He is calm, relaxed and very patient. In his lessons he would throw me towards the deep end in a way that would make me learn quickly. If i made a mistake, he would give reassuring feedback and be extremely patient. I can only describe Steve as the best driving instructor out there and would recommend him 100%! Hes very patient, understanding, and made me feel completely at ease allowing my confidence to grow. Had a refresher lesson with Steve following a 7 year driving gap since passing my test. I thought I'd need multiple lessons to get comfortable driving again, but in just one lesson, Steve gave me the all confidence I needed. I've been driving for over a year since now with no issues.
Steve is the best instructor! I was very nervous for my first lesson but he made me feel at ease and taught me very well . I passed 1st time within a few months of my 17th & Steve is to thank . We went through everything and practised key routes and Steve gave me some amazing tips that I can now use in the driving world . Steve is a legend! Charlie passed first time today, with one minor And within 12 weeks of his 17th birthday (And we had 2 holidays in between)!!!
Steve is calm, patient and friendly, and Charlie felt v comfortable with him from the start.

Steve is the best instructor out there.
He went above and beyond to help me pass first time with no minor faults.
I live in Tadley and he’d allow me to drive back to Tadley which meant that he had to drive back to Basingstoke out of his own time.
He was always patient, made every lesson enjoyable and even rescheduled some of his holiday so I could use his car for the test.
I am so grateful and can’t recommend him enough.

Steve was an amazing instructor, I passed first time, no faults within 6 months of learning with one lesson per week. He’s very friendly and patient and overall a brilliant instructor. He helped me gain lots of confidence on the road and never pushed me to do anything I wasn’t completely comfortable trying, but still challenged me every lesson. I couldn’t recommend him enough he was really great.
Steve has taught my daughter and my son. He's a star; he's patient, unflappable, methodical and my son has just passed his test first time! I would very highly recommend Steve he really is a great teacher - knowing when to 'push' out of comfort zones and when not to. He's also really flexible with lessons and very communicative. If you can get on his schedule then definitely book with Steve! 100% money well spent.

Amazing driving instructor. Taught not just passing the test but also skills I need for after I passed. Steve is very patient and understanding, I started as a very nervous driver and struggled with confidence but Steve completely changed that and helped me become confident in my driving ability. He is very encouraging and supportive so I never felt like giving up when making mistakes, Steve is always calm and understanding which helped to calm my nerves. Every lesson had a positive attitude and was fun, he is very helpful with any challanges and was always willing to go over skills as much I needed. So I never felt rushed. He is very good at helping to boost confidence and coming up with different ways to learn new skills at your own pace, highly recommend for any learners!

Steve was incredibly helpful and accommodating, for example putting on music if he saw that you wouldn't be distracted by it. He remained calm and assuring the entire time, answering any questions I had. His dry sense of humour is an added bonus because it eases the initial worry some may have about starting their driving lessons. Because of this, I have recommended him to all those I know that are starting to drive.

What a great driving instructor! Steve was such a friendly and likeable character that always made me feel safe and confident while learning. Experienced instructor with full of excellent driving technique and I have gained tremendously for my driving skill and mindset from him.
Every lesson with Steve was enjoyable and fun. The way he taught was incredible, he never made me feel stressed gave me so much confident on driving. He trusted me more than I did to myself which was insane.
So happy but meanwhile sad to be graduated from him... Even I have said so much, no word could express how grateful I have found him.

Amazing instructor! Didn’t only teach me how to pass the test but how to be a sensible, competent and careful driver. Very patient aswell which I’m sure is very hard especially at the start of someone beginning to learn! Couldn’t have passed without him and couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Cannot recommend Steve enough, I started lessons with him at the beginning of March and passed my test today (May). I had lessons with previous instructors but none of them gave me the confidence Steve did. So patient and friendly, we always had a good giggle. Honestly brilliant instructor 🙂

Steve was an amazing driving instructor. From lesson 1 he had me out on the roads with new challenges and always gave me control over the car which was a fantastic way to learn. Now not only have I passed my test first try but he has given me the confidence and the skills to drive solo which I’m the end is what it’s all about!

Steve has always been an incredible coach as he had previously coached me in athletics as well as driving . If you are looking for an instructor don’t look anywhere else. Steve is your guy. As others have mentioned in their reviews, he is very patient and always calm. And that is who you want sitting next to you when you are driving. He not only prepares you to pass the test but also to be an overall good driver.

Steve was so patient when I was learning a new skill which I found difficult. We drove to new places to get more expereince such as south Hampton which made me a confident driver. He a brilliant instructor that got me through my test. Highly recommend.
I am extremely lucky to have had Steve as my driving instructor. He is very patient and has various tools to make sure that we correct our mistakes. He teaches how to be a better driver in life overall , rather than how to just pass the test. Steve is a brilliant instructor, he gives great easy to follow directions, he is patient and calm with a very reassuring manner. He makes the lesson enjoyable and his car is lovely to drive. Steve recommended a great app which helped me practice my theory. With 3 cancelled tests during lockdown he was extremely flexible when lessons recommenced and I had a new test date which enabled me to get in some last minute practice. His feedback after each lesson was really positive and helpful. Thoroughly recommend him.
