I am a fully qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor and offer automatic driving lessons in Basingstoke and the surrounding areas. I have an excellent pass rate and have many positive reviews and recommendations from my previous students. You will be taught how to drive following the latest and DVSA recommended techniques, in a friendly, patient and understanding way. From your 1st lesson, right up to your test my aim is to make sure you enjoy all your lessons, whilst learning how to become a safe and experienced driver.
All lessons are tailored to each learner's own learning requirements, to help you learn to drive and your own pace, using easy-to-understand methods and techniques. All automatic driving lessons are conducted in a modern dual-controlled car, Lessons can be taken during my flexible working hours.

Paul is a really friendly instructor who made every lesson feel calm and encouraging, especially given that I started driving much older than most. He always gave me clear, helpful debriefs at the end of each session, explaining what went well and what I should focus on next time. I especially appreciated how he explained things in a simple way and asked questions to help me think things through and fill in the gaps myself. I arranged 2 refresher lessons with Paul prior to Christmas 2025. I had on the 4th December purchased an automatic car. I had not driven one before and after many years of driving a manual needed expert advice and tuition. I had looked up lessons for automatic cars, as it was all new to me and lots of electric add ons.

I had 30+ hours of lessons with another instructor but still wasn\'t ready for my test, struggling in several areas due to anxiety. I have had around 20 hours with Paul and today I passed my test, first time, with only 3 minors. Paul is calm, kind and really made me feel at ease whilst making the lessons super fun! His teaching techniques really worked for me and I began to really enjoy driving. I highly recommend Paul! Thank you again!!
Will be 3 years in October since I passed the first time with Paul. Honestly, Paul puts you at ease and makes diving a good experience with him. I still to this day recommend him to people wanting to do lessons.

Paul is a great teacher and is good at explaining things in a calm and helpful way. He can see if I\'m ready to move onto the next task after making sure I've safely learnt the current task. He is patient when I make mistakes which is very important because it helps me stay calm to correct my errors and move on. Paul was great and helped me pass my driving test on the first go. I had been driving for about 10 years before coming to the UK and he helped take the skills I had an sharpen them so I could safely drive here. He spent as much time on any skill I needed and I went into my test confident I would pass. Highly recommend!

I took my driving lessons with Paul and passed 1st time. It was a while ago but I did a semi-intensive course as was in a hurry. Once I passed I took some motorway lessons straight away as I needed to drive for work. I would recommend Paul as his teaching was perfect for me.
